Art has always been at the center of Rebecca’s life. She started expressing herself through drawing at the age of three. Utilizing her talent, Rebecca moved past the basics and expressed her interest in the different aspects of art including costumes, makeup and hair for stage, instruction, along with storyboard work and set design; earning numerous ribbons and awards. She continues to use these skills today, making her a versatile member of any team. Rebecca went on to study commercial art and then turned toward a less traditional media – the human body. She took jobs that gave her the opportunity to learn from the medical and cosmetic industries. Becoming a tattoo artist, Rebecca found an outlet for thinking outside-of-the-box with fantasy styled illustrations while volunteering at a local playhouse with set andcostume duties.
Earning her license in Cosmetology and a specialty license in Aesthetics (skin specialist), Rebecca brought art to makeup and hairstyling. Focusing her skills, Rebecca received her advanced education through Joe Blasco’s Makeup Center under the tutelage of Ashlee Petersen and Eric Lusk. Upon graduation, Ashlee Petersen asked Rebecca to assist her and Eric in teaching the next classes. This is an honor that will stay with Rebecca as well their friendship. Once Rebecca received her certification from the Makeup Center, she dove into every sort of makeup endeavor. Her work has been featured on The Learning Channel’s “A Wedding Story”, the OWN Canadian Network “Murder She Solved: True Crime”, various commercials, music videos, fund-raising events and food sculpting. With the support of her husband Steve and family, Rebecca continues to travel throughout Florida and the United States for makeup, special effects, instruction, and storyboard jobs. Rebecca is an asset to any and every team she joins.
