I re-discovered my passion for art in 2017 after a bit of a hiatus. From a very early age, drawing was something that came naturally to me, but as time went on, I was urged to pursue a more “practical” path into adulthood. It wasn’t until my daughter asked to color pictures of Teen Titans Go that I decided to sharpen my pencil once again.
I had recently rekindled my affinity for collecting comics and went on to draw a couple pictures from God Country and Plastic. It wasn’t until I showed these very drawings to my good friend Matt at 9.9 Comics that things kicked into high gear. Matt encouraged me to start sketching on blank covers and he marketed them in the store. To my surprise, people were buying my artwork and I started receiving requests for commission work. I have since completed many custom pieces from Spider-Man to Lady Death to superhero versions of families.
In 2019, I was approached by Jonathan Hedrick to create a limited variant cover for his project Freakshow Princess along with the limited 9.9 store exclusive. Jonathan went on to release his 2nd project Capable and brought me on to create the B cover variant as well as another 9.9 store exclusive. I also distinct privilege to be nominated for a Spacie Award and won under “Best Independent Cover Artist”.
This journey has been a whirlwind from the beginning. From putting my very first sketch cover up for sale at 9.9 Comics to having my name appear on CGC yellow label signature series slabs, I would not be where I am now without the support of all the people that believe in me. I am humbled to say the least and appreciate every opportunity to make people happy with my art.
